The Gate Piers to Boringdon Hall, Boringdon Arch and the deer park and Boringdon Mine, are all heritage features related to the Morley Estate.
We have instructed heritage consultants to undertake an assessment of the site. Their advice has informed the illustrative masterplan shown under "Our Proposals" for the site to include features that will protect and enhance some of these assessed heritage features - this includes open grassland, a hilltop park area along with a proposed footpath and cycle trail.
The proposed residential development is contained in the south-western corner of the site where any visual interrelationship with assessed features is not possible.
The recreational development in the north-east section of the site has been envisaged to enhance access to, and therefore appreciation of, the heritage assets.
